We love to write about family and friends whose lifestyle and sense of adventure inspire us, and Jamie embodies just that. He left a dream engineering job at General Electric’s jet engine group 26 years ago, moved to Hawaii to pursue his passion for windsurfing and has created a life that most would dream of.

Jamie (Kim’s brother and Kirsten & Sydney’s uncle) is the owner of Hawaii Commercial Real Estate which employs 14, and with his busy schedule he still makes time to stay in shape and get in the ocean 5 days a week whether it’s an afternoon windsurf session with his son Kimo, outrigger canoe paddling or a dawn patrol surf session before work. On the weekends you can find him racing 6 man outrigger canoes for Hui Nalu or competing in the American Windsurfing Tour and if that’s not enough, Jamie’s downtime is spent jamming on his guitar and entertaining audiences with blues, rock and Hawaiian music at local restaurants like JJ’s Bistro and Pastry. His positive energy and zest for life is boundless – truly inspiring.
