1. My Transportation – Café 24 Deluxe Women Felt Bike
I commute to and from work on my bike. It’s fast, it’s free, and it gives you a burst of energy, which is great for those early mornings! The best part about biking is that it brings back memories of riding my bike all over my childhood neighborhood – from the moment that the snow melted in the spring until the last leaf dropped in the fall. I love Felt bikes because they are comfortable and a smooth ride. Though it looks like a “Cruiser Bike” it actually has 24 gears so I’m not afraid of those daunting San Francisco hills.
2. Kombucha: Raspberry with Chia Seeds
This is a new addition to GT’s Synergy line. Kombucha in general is a favorite among all the Coastal Kitchen Ladies! It is a fermented tea and therefore contains visible bacteria and yeast cultures, but don’t let that scare you off as it is packed with health benefits! It’s a great detoxification for the body and since it’s a probiotic beverage it also aids in digestion and increases overall gut health. They come in a variety of flavors using natural unsweetened fruit juices therefore making it a great beverage option for those of you watching your sugar intake (it’s even allowed in the 21-Day Sugar Detox). When mixed with raw chia seeds – a super food packed with protein and fiber – it’s even better.
3. Muscle Must-Have: Foam Roller
I’ve always loved foam rolling and have used this method all through high school and college sports as a way to stretch my muscles pre- and post-workout. Even if you haven’t worked out, we keep one in our apartment to stretch our back and legs.
