Tablescaping with Mason Jars

I’m not one to ever throw away glass jars and bottles. Our cabinets at home are filled to the brim with containers of all shapes and sizes. A few weeks ago, we went out to a Greek restaurant on South Beach and the sparkling water came in these amazing green bottles (pictured above). I toted them around all day clinking and clanking in my bag because I couldn’t imagine letting them be thrown out. Mason jars have become something of a fad lately and these shabby-chic fixtures are popping up at all the hottest restaurants, but I must admit our mom has been washing out jelly jars to use as glasses since my sister and I were little ones.

In the last week there have been some major developments with my now fiancée Chris who popped the question on Sunday and I’m already experiencing wedding fever (I haven’t allowed myself go near Pinterest for fear that I will be glued to my computer 24/7). With that in mind, I thought I would do a post on my favorite home accent and show the different ways you can use these jars.
